Chamonix (France) - Zermatt (Switzerland)

Hello,
2 or 3 years ago, I travelled from Zermatt (Switzerland) to Chamonix (France) and I remember I could do that with my Swiss Travel Card. This time, I will be travelling from Chamonix (France) to Zermatt (Switzerland). Does anyone know if my Swiss Travel Pass would be valid in this case? I saw the map of Swiss Travel Pass validity and saw Chamonix on the map, but since my travel would be starting in France, I am not in doubt of what I should do.
Can anyone help me that, please?

Your Swiss Travel Pass is not valid in France (grey line on the map), you will need a ticket from Chamonix to Le Châtelard Frontière (border station). However, you have a 50% discount from Vallorcine (red dashed line):

One more clarification:

You will need two separate tickets, it is not possible to purchase them in one transaction:

– Chamonix-Mont-Blanc - Vallorcine
– Vallorcine - Le Châtelard-Frontière (indicate that you have a Half Fare Travelcard to get the 50% discount)
