Dear SBB Customer Service,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently received a fine of CHF 90 for not having a valid ticket at the time of inspection. I would like to kindly explain that this was an honest genuine mistake.
I had intended to travel with a valid ticket using the SBB Mobile app and believed I had started the journey correctly. Unfortunately, I realized only a few minutes after departure from weggis. 3/11/25. In the morning (around few minutes later) that I had forgotten to swipe right to start the trip. As soon as I noticed, I immediately activated the ticket.
I understand the importance of having a valid ticket before departure and sincerely apologize for this oversight. I am a regular SBB user and always make sure to travel with a valid ticket. I would be very grateful if you could review my case and consider a reduction or cancellation of the fine as a gesture of goodwill.
