Basel Cruise port luggage to Zurich

Does SBB CH offer door to door from Basel cruise ship at disembarkation to a hotel in Zurich? the 2-day works fine.

No, you have to take your luggage to Basel SBB station. Carrying your luggage yourself on SBB trains is a no-brainer.

No, that means that it should be clear without thinking that you should carry your luggage yourself.
The biggest hurdle is probably the part from the disembarkation to the railway station (which can be done easily by tram or bus).
Almost all trains, especially the direct ones between Basel SBB and Zürich HB have step-free access so it will not be a problem even if your luggage is very heavy.
Note however that each item of luggage may not exceed 100×80×60 cm and you may not place luggage on the seats or in a way that the doors are blocked.

I’m actually taking a train from Basel to Grindelwald for 2 nights with a 6min train change in between and thought the extra bags would be too much to coordinate timely (2 of us with large bags and carryons), especially if I have to take both of them to the top deck. So I was going to send my big bags over to Zurich to meet me on Day 3, yet another train day from Grindelwald to Zurich. Was just asking if cruise port pickup is an option, but sounds like not - I’ll just set up the train->door since a cruise port isn’t a door->door. Thanks so much

A door-to-door service is impossible because you would have to leave your luggage somewhere until someone comes to pick it up. At many stops along the Rhine, there is no building that serves as a port. You are disembarked at a quay and buses are waiting for you if there is an excursion. If no transfer to the train station is arranged upon your arrival in Basel, please note that you may have to walk about 500 m to reach the public transport stop. As boats end up on both banks of the river, it is not possible to give more details, but I suppose you will be given some before your arrival.

Don’t worry about the 6 minutes transfer. Transferring trains is just walking from one to another, in this case with your luggage rolling after you… You do not have to lift it up or down during these 6 minutes, as you only have to be on board before departure, you do not need to be at your seats. (And with big luggages I would stay downstairs…)
And if you miss the transfer you just take the next train. They come every half hour.
