Shall we buy a pass or individual tickets?

Hi, me and 3 adults, (all under 24 years) are travelling to Zurich, then zermatt for 3 nights, then from zermatt to Geneva and will be using trains and public transport throughout.. we will be using the trains for some scenic routes for the Matterhorn, want to try out the cable car and any other local attractions. We are wondering the most cost effective way to travel. Is it by a travel pass you offer there, or just by buying individual tickets?

From Zurich to Zermatt and from Zermatt to Geneva this “Friends Day Pass for Youth” is certainly cheaper as individual tickets:

This pass is not valid for local attractions in Zermatt. I suggest to contact the tourism office after your arrival to find the best offer. If the weather is bad, it may be not possible to try out cable cars.

Thank you for your recommendation and this advice. I have looked at it on the official website and this definitely would save money (as I was going to buy 3 separate tickets for both ways) . One question, do you have to buy tickets along side the young person pass? Or just show the pass. Mentioning this, and my journey, do you think it is beneficial to get this one instead of the other passes?

No, only show this pass in the train with physical passports or ID cards of all people travelling with you.

I don’t think that any other passes/tickets are cheaper.
