A standard (“point to point”) ticket is always the same price, one year or one minute before departure, it does not matter. A standard ticket is valid the whole day.
A Saver Day Pass must however be bought in advance, and will be significantly cheaper the earlier you buy it. There exist also Supersaver tickets, which also must be bought in advance. Supersaver tickets are however not flexible, so not a good idea if you arrive by plane.
