one-week trip (Bern → Interlaken → Lucerne) for students

Hi everyone,
I’m currently living in Switzerland for a few months for a student exchange. Next week I’d like to travel a bit with my boyfriend. He will come to Switzerland only for one week, and I’m not quite sure if he can buy the Schnupper-Halbtax promo (the 2-month trial), which I already have.
We’re students, so GA is too expensive or us, but we would love to visit Interlaken and Lucerne, traveling from Bern. What would be the most cost-effective ticket or pass for 1 week of travel (not everyday)?
Also does anyone know if it’s possible to use the Schnupper-Halbtax promotion code a second time?

Any advice or personal experience would be super helpful!

The Schnupper-Halbtax would only be available for him if his place of residence was Switzerland (obviously not) or one of our neighbouring countries.

Other options available only for foreign residents, which could make sense depending on how much the total of the regular tickets for all your planned (expensive mountain) trips would be:
Swiss Half Fare Card, a 1-month ‘Halbtax’ for 120.-
Swiss Travel Pass (Flex), which includes a ‘daily GA’, a Halbtax card for mountain rides and a museum pass, comes in several different flavors
Berner Oberland Pass similar to above for the area you mentioned in the discussion title
