Upgrading ticket from Paris Gare de Lyon to Zurich HB from 2nd to 1st class

Hello,

I’m traveling today from Paris Gare de Lyon to Zurich HB, I was wondering how much would the upgrade cost, and how to process it? The travel time is from 18:21.

I can’t find anywhere on map or on website of sbb how to upgrade the ticket.

I don’t think that an upgrade is possible, unless you have a fully flexible ticket. In this case you can buy a new 1st class ticket and obtain a refund of the old one.

I suggest to call the ticket seller to ask if an upgrade would be possible. I you bought the ticket through SBB, you can find contact possibilities at the bottom of this page:

As you are travelling by TGV on a large part of the route, it is not given that there is even a free seat in the first class, as seat reservations are mandatory in the TGV and therefore it might be sold out. Otherwise, i think the easiest way is to ask directly in person: either at the entry to the platform (which in France is staffed) or onboard the train (before just sitting down in a first class carriage). There might be an extra onboard-ticketsale fee tough.
