I have made a grave mistake and lost a really important jacket (with a lot of emotional value) on a train or at the Olten station last sunday night (30.11). What i guess should be and is more important, is that I lost my passport along with it (it was in the jacket pocket).
I realized I left it behind while still on the train (since it was night, the train split and left half of the cars behind). I submitted the lost and found report while still en route, so within minutes of losing it.
It has been 3 days and I have not heard. I fear that if they did not find it that night, then chances are a bit slim. Or, if anyone knows the process, is it more likely that there is just some sort of behind the scenes admin/other delay in letting me know they found it (for example, maybe SBB did in fact get the jacket but just has not marked it as found in the system)? Wondering the timeline and if i should start to reallyy freak out and look for a replacement passport..
Alternatively, if anyone reading this has seen (or taken) a black leather jacket with a large hard rock cafe las vegas patch on the back from olten on sunday night (30.11), let me know any info…
