So what different term for a (tramway or bus) stop do you use in English?
Especially if it’s not a ‘station’ with buildings, but a ‘Haltestelle’ in German with just a sign, a trashcan, maybe a ticket vending machine and a simple shed with a bench?
The usual English term for a transportation service not operating at all according to the expected schedule/timetable (so not just delayed) is ‘cancelled’, not ‘stopped’.
