RSBC Please help! We hold Eurail 1st class passes and we would like to only book seats from Geneva to Montruex. The system don’t seem to allow us to do so. So does it mean that I just show my Eurail pass and find whatever seats that are available in the 1st class car? Anyone can advise.
Danhiel Hello RSBC You can find more information about seat reservations in Switzerland here: https://community.sbb-tickets.cc/blog/23887-demystifying-seat-reservations-on-swiss-trains-a-comprehensive-guide or here for Europe: https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm Kind regards Danhiel
Krist Yes, that is how trains work: You find your train, you get on and find a free seat. Then when a conductor comes you show your pass or ticket. On Geneva - Montreux you cannot reserve seats, except in the handful of EC services.
