Today, while traveling on the IR46 route from Göschenen to Altdorf, I experienced the most painful and humiliating interaction of my life on public transportation.
After a very long and emotionally exhausting day dealing with a family emergency, I made an honest mistake with my ticket. Because of poor internet connection in the mountains, I could not properly access my account. I remained calm and cooperative, yet I was met with anger, coldness, and visible disgust. The way I was spoken to made me feel small, judged, and deeply humiliated. Every attempt to explain was shut down, and I felt treated not as a human being, but as a problem.
I showed my passport, answered every question, and paid immediately. I fully understand that rules must be enforced, but nothing justifies treating someone without kindness or basic respect.
Dear sir, I am sorry for you. I hope life smiles at you more, and that one day you will be a happy person. I promise this was just a mistake. I truly hope you find someone who can help you release whatever pain you carry inside your soul.
This was the most horrible interaction I have ever had with another human being in my 48 years of life.
