Tafunge25 A common issue with foreign credit cards is that they are rejected if they do not feature a 3-D Secure Code safety feature. Might this be the cause of the problem?
Hello @Tafunge25
I suspect this is the case and, according to the official FAQ «My means of payment was declined (unauthorised). What can I do?» it’s also the most common reason. So, it’s no wonder that it’s a recurring topic.
For foreign issuers from countries without 3DS regulations/3DS market standard, I personally have the impression that 1st-level customer support is unfamiliar with 3DS, so the issuer customer support probably doesn’t even check if the cause is 3DS.
In addition to the most common reason «Lack of 3D Secure verification» the official FAQ lists other possible reasons:
- Declined by the bank or card issuer.
- Incorrect entry.
- Expired card.
- Credit balance / spending limit exceeded.
