Payment with Half Fare Travelcard PLUS

Hello,

I have the half fare card and credits I bought loaded into my Swiss passport. So whenever I buy tickets their price gets deducted from credits and I don’t pay with my card for them but my very recent ticket purchase did not get deducted from my credits but I had to pay for it. I have no idea why but it’s annoying because now I’m worried the next time I buy a tickets it won’t be deducted from my credits again but that I’ll have to pay it. I don’t know what to do what to change to stop that from happening. I tried to delete Apple Pay as a payment method from my SBB mobile app but it didn’t let me do that. Please help me go back to using my credits and not pay for my tickets again (as I already have paid for with my credits before)

What are credits?
Are you talking about Halbtax Plus?

Yes, exactly, I meant the Halbtax Plus.

You can select the payment method upon buying. Before you confirm the purchase, it should list the payment method selected. There is a change icon (iirc a pencil) which will let you modify the payment method. Worst case, you can refund any ticket within 30 minutes of buying it if you find that the payment did not decrease your Half Fare PLUS credit.

@Quoashupef54 In the App it’s actually an icon on the left of the big red <Buy … > button displaying the current payment method, most probably Apple Pay in your case. Tapping it lets you switch it to another method, and this setting will be remembered until you change it again.
