Restriction on ticket purchases. Due to technical problems

I am trying to purchase 4 tickets from Tirano to Zurich HB for March 16th, 2026 with the saver day pass. When I get to the sbb confirm ticket page, I get the following message:

Restriction on ticket purchases.
Due to technical problems, it is currently not possible to purchase tickets. Please try again later.

I have tried this on the website and app and different browsers with the same result.

Is there another way that I can purchase these tickets? I know I can purchase day of, but I wanted to use the saver day pass option and not point to point.

Is it because the starting point is Tirano? If so, what do I do? Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Please try again, it works perfectly well for me. Plus, make sure your credit card supports 3ad secure ID (2-way factor authentication).

You should first make seat reservations for the Bernina Express train, then purchasing tickets. The line is suffering from overtourism, and access is restricted. Travelling without a seat reservation is a gamble.

If you have already the saver day pass you do not need any tickets.

If you do not yet have it but you know this is the best option and you just want to buy it go here:

Since the saver day pass is valid on all public transit there is no need to select a route first in order to purchase it.

Thank you for the replies. It must of been just a glitch that day I was trying. I tried again the next day and was able to purchase without issue. I’m all ready to go now. Thanks everyone!
