Good day, I am travelling with my family (Two adults and two children ages 3 and 7) for my 40th birthday celebration. Please could I get advice about which travel pass I should buy? Or would it be better to buy the tickets individually? Our train trips would be as follows: 1. Zurich airport to Lucerne 2. Lucerne to Grindelwald (Panoramic train to Interlaken, then switch trains to Grindelwald) 3. Grindelwald to Geneva 4. Geneva to Zurich We would like to travel first class. For the 3-year old child, there is no need to buy a ticket. Travel for children under the age of 6 is free (if accompanied). - The 7-year-old child can get a Children's Co-Travelcard for just 30.- which allows it to travel accomanied by a defined person (one of the parents). Buying it is quite a hustle tough, it can only be purchased at a staffed counter in a station and you will need to bring the IDs of both the accompaning person and the child as well as a passport photograph. - For the two parents, it is probably cheapest to buy individual tickets or Saver's daypasses. You can choose between three options: The regular ticket "Point-to-Point-Ticket" allows travel on all connections of the selected route and is refundable; the "Supersaver's ticket" allows travel only on a selected connection and the Saver's daypass allows travel on all trains, busses, etc. in Switzerland on the selected day. The latter two are not refundable and have dynamic pricing. For the first day, a Supersaver's ticket is not recommeneded because you will lose the ticket if the plane arrives late.
