I purchased three tickets for my family and me to travel from Basel to Hamburg (and viceversa) in a mini cabin. However, I am not sure whether this is a private cabin, and since my son is a minor (11 years old), I need to ensure that no other passengers will be sharing the cabin with us. I’m not certain where I can verify this information or which number I should call.

Mini Cabins are only for one person, it is impossible that other persons share them. However, adjacent Mini Cabins are connected by a small sliding door and I suppose that the system assigned you such cabins.

You are in one of the new Nightjets, and mini cabins 43 and 44 are in the upper level, and adjacent. There is a partition between them that you can open, so you can stay in contact with our son.
So you are all set :-)

No, the mini cabins are only for one person and therefore, each mini cabin is only sold once.

No, the cabins are all for one person. (Think Japanese Capsule hotel). So you have one mini cabin, and your son has one mini cabin. Because the system booked you in two adjacent ones on the same level you can open a partition between them and join them together.

We can see only the cabins 43 and 44 on your ticket but I suppose that you have a third number (maybe 41 or 42?). Mini cabins are numbered from 11 to 74.

indeed, we have 43/44 and 41. are those cabins connected in some way? any ideas?

43/44 are upper cabins, 41 is a lower cabin, under the 43. No connection is possible between upper and lower cabins, but they are at the same position in the car.
