Unable to get past identity check screen while trying to get a Swiss pass

I have had an account created a while ago and I used to buy tickets and items such as half card via the site. Recently when I logged in it wants me to get a Swisspass card. When I add my phone number as step 1 for an ID check, I do receive an SMS code but after tying the code it takes me back to the same screen and asks me me to request code again. Tried it several times. Same result. I am located in the U.S. and have a U.S. phone number. Can someone help answer why this is happening and what am I doing wrong.

What Half Fare Card have you purchased? The Swiss Half Fare Card or the yearly Half Fare Card?
Normally, tourists do not need the SwissPass card.

You probably clicked the link for residents to start the identity check.

RolandP thank you. You are right. I did not buy it thru this site. I found my old e-mails and I bought it at this site https://switzerlandtravelcentre.com/ for $135 in October-2021. The validly of this card was only 30 days and is meant for visitors. The price has gone up and now it is $200. Inflation!

The price for the Swiss Half Fare Card has been increased in December 2025 after more than 10 years. The cost increased by CHF 30.
