Travel from Milan to Lugano

I booked return tickets from SBB Mobile Application for myself, my wife and 2 kids (9 years & 4 years). The tickets are confirmed and they are called (Arcobaleno Transfrontaliera Day Pass).
I would like to know what else do these tickets cover. As an example do these tickets cover local transprotation in Lugano (including busses, trains, boats), do they offer discounts on Monte San Salvatore - Funicular Ride, transportation and discounts for Mount Tamaro.
In case any of the above are not covered, can I book Saver Day Pass instead which offer more flexibllity and discounts but can it be used for train from Milan to Lugano ??

Good day …

The Arcobaleno Transfrontaliera Day Pass is valid on RE trains (not on EC trains) from Milan to Lugano. Within Siwtzerland, they are valid within the zones indicated on the pass. It does not cover tourist attractions, same for the Saver Day Pass.

What if I book Saver Day Pass instead ? Can I use it to travel from Milan to Lugano and benefit from the discounts and coverage in Lugano ?

The Saver Day Pass is not valid in Italy between Milano and Chiasso.

Here’s the link again to the Arcobaleno zone plan (page 4) which should work. Your arcobaleno transfrontaliera ticket to Lugano should include public transportation in the zones 11, 10, 40 and 41 (as mentioned on the ticket). But neither an arcobaleno ticket nor the Saver Day Pass are including any ‘touristic’ cable cars or funiculars to mountain summits (excepted the small Lugano railway station funicular).
Also, you’d need an additional arcobaleno ticket additionally covering zone 12 for the train to Rivera = base of the Alpe Foppa (“M. Tamaro”) cable car, but check their timetable first.

The only added ‘flexibility’ of the saver day pass for your plans would be the also included boats on Lake Lugano (+ zone 12), but I guess it’s way too expensive just for that.
