Boarding SAME train but at the station AFTER stated departure station

Hello, I have already bought a Supersaver ticket from Interlaken Ost to Paris Gare de Lyon. The first leg is on RE 4223, and this same train appears to also stop at Interlaken West, which is after Interlaken Ost on the route.

Can I board the same RE 4223 train at Interlaken West instead of Interlaken Ost, while keeping the rest of the booked journey unchanged?

The onward legs are reserved international trains, so I would like to confirm whether this would still be valid on my existing ticket. Thank you!!

Yes, you can.

This is railroad travel, not air travel.

Nobody will check whether you are on board, or not.

I would add something. If you have a seat reservation and you are not occupying your seat 15 minutes after the departure, it could be freed and assigned to another traveler.

The RE between Interlaken and Spiez obviously does not have reservations.

Boarding later (and leaving earlier) is perfectly fine on trains. There would anyway not be a way to enforce a rule that says you must travel all the segments you booked, if one such rule existed.
