This makes selecting the desired seat even more transparent and convenient for travellers. Bicycle space reservations are managed differently than seat reservations. For journeys where bike space reservations are obligatory, you can purchase them together with the ticket for the bicycle in a single purchase. If you are not being offered a bike space reservation, it might be because the requirement does not apply to your specific journey. The reservations system automatically allocates spaces and does not allow choosing between 1st and 2nd class compartments for bike storage. The information you encountered on the website reflects the current system's limitations. You can make bike space reservations via the SBB Mobile app or online. The statement is not conflicting, as the booking system automatically allocates the bike spaces according to the availability. You can choose the space for your bike, but if you don't choose a space, then the system would automatically allocate a space for you. You'll get a note stating that "Pleas not that a bicycle spare near a 1st class coach cannot be guaranteed", if there shouldn't be a bike space available in the 1st class. 3. You can choose it on sbb.ch and SBB Mobile. Just choose your bike and then you'll see the button "Bike space reservation" on sbb.ch or "Reservation" on SBB Mobile with a pencil icon on the right side. Click there to see your options. RomanoS Question 1: I clicked through as if I were going to buy a Bike Storage Ticket for this Sunday and never once did it offer me the chance to book which space I wanted. How do we get to the “Graphic seat reservation” for the bicycle or is this only available at the moment for the seat reservation (I saw how that works) for me? Question 2: I was just on the sbb website and it specifically says under the question “Ich reise 1. Klasse, kann ich mein Velo auch in einem 1.Klass Wagen reservieren?” –> “Das Reservationssystem teilt die Plätze automatisch zu. Es ist leider nicht möglich, bei der Reservation zwischen 1. und 2. Klasse zu wählen.” Is this conflicting information still on the website because for the bike storage reservation this option is not yet in place? Question 3: is it possible to choose my bike storage place via the SBB mobile app or only via the website?

You can choose the space for your bike, but if you don’t choose a space, then the system would automatically allocate a space for you. You’ll get a note stating that “Pleas not that a bicycle spare near a 1st class coach cannot be guaranteed”, if there shouldn’t be a bike space available in the 1st class.
You can choose it on sbb.ch and SBB Mobile. Just choose your bike and then you’ll see the button “Bike space reservation” on sbb.ch or “Reservation” on SBB Mobile with a pencil icon on the right side. Click there to see your options.
