bts I plan to travel to Switzerland in June and intend to purchase the Swiss Travel Pass. If I travel from Bern to Milan, I see that I’ll have to take the train from Bern to Zurich (IC81) and then a Eurocity EC train from Zurich to Milano Centrale. I have a few questions: Can I travel using the Swiss Travel Pass? From what I understand, I can, and it would be valid up to Chiasso, in Switzerland, with me having to pay for the segment between Chiasso and Milan—is that correct? If so, how do I book just the seat and purchase the Italian leg of the trip? I couldn’t find the “Swiss Travel Pass” option under Discount Cards on the website; only “Half Fare Travelcard,” “GA Travelcard 2nd Class,” and others. Thank you
RolandP Hello bts Good day. 1) YES, as far as Chiasso. 2) YES. 3) With the Swiss Travel Pass you can choose the GA Travel Card as reduction type; it is the resident’s equivalent or the STP. Kind regards, Roland
