Why couldn’t they have some compassion

I was travelling and hopped on the wrong train by mistake because I had a big day and then when I was checked for my ticket and didn’t have one because I was on the wrong train the ticket checker instead of being kind and understanding they finned me even though there were other people who instead of showing the tickets to them just ran away and nothing happened to them

Purchasing a ticket on board a public transit service is not possible.

13.3.4.7 is not applicable in regional trains.

So if you did not have a ticket you would also have run in to problems had you been on the right train.

If you have to a reasonable extent proof that you did not intend to take the train you took, the ticket inspector should have or could have (I am not a lawyer and the formulation is not clear) given you a ticket so that you can get to your intended desination according to section 13.3.4.7 of Tarifbestimmung T600. I do not know why they did not do so. I adivse you to talk to SBB either via the contact center or the live chat or at a station counter. Explain them the situation, if needed mention T600, 13.3.4.7 and see what they can do. In the case you are not happy with how your request is treated, you can also escalate it towards the Obudsstelle öffentlicher Verkehr (german website).
