Hello,
I am currently trying to submit an online compensation claim for a significant train delay on an international journey (Italy to Switzerland). Due to the delay, I missed the last connection and had to take a taxi to my final destination, for which I have the receipt.
I have reached the final step of the online form (“Contact details”), but I am stuck at the IBAN field.
I reside in Canada and my bank does not use the IBAN system. We only use SWIFT/BIC codes and account numbers. The online form seems to strictly require an IBAN format and does not allow me to enter my Canadian bank details.
My questions are:
Is there a way to bypass the IBAN field on the online form for non-European residents?
If I cannot use the online form, should I send my documents (tickets, taxi receipt, and bank info) via email?
Can the compensation be refunded back to the original credit card used for the purchase instead of a bank transfer?
I have all the necessary digital proofs (original tickets, delay confirmation, and taxi receipt) ready to provide. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
