Glacier Express ticket

I have a super saver ticket for the day we are taking the Glacier Express and a half fare card. I have made the seat reservation - but how do I get the ticket. The Super Saver ticket should cover the cost -but when I go to buy online it wants to charge me another 79 CHF

If yes, to the Glacier Express website to purchase the seat reservation and tick the checkbox that the passenger only needs a seat reservation. This procedure will issue a seat reservation without a ticket.

Is the Supersaver ticket that you have got indeed for the Glacier Express connection? I have never heard that Supersaver tickets are offered for this train which is normally suffering from overtourism.

So you have a ticket. There is no need to buy another ticket.

Tickets are for a route, not a train. In order to travel on the Glacier Express you need:

A ticket, or something that is equivalent to a. ticket (like a saver day pass, or a Swiss Travel Pass) that covers the route.
A seat reservation.

It appears you have both. In that case you are all ready to go.

A Supersaver ticket for the PE / Glacier Express is highly unlikely (also in 1st class), that’s rather a Saver Day Pass or a supersaver for a different train. Or can anyone show me a date within the next 6 months where a GE service has available supersavers?

Maybe the OP can post ALL(!) relevant details (or a screenshot) WITHOUT PERSONAL DETAILS of the already purchased ‘ticket’, in order to stop confusing us and allow us providing accurate help information.

So in this case you already have a ticket and therefore do not need a second redundant ticket. The saver day pass is already a ticket, not a voucher for buying (free) tickets.

What you still need for the GE is a (mandatory) seat reservation, and how to pay that reservation fee has been explained by @RolandP in the first reply of this discussion.

The OP has made reservations, and has a Saver Day Pass, so they are all set…
