You book the ticket for the day you want to use it and don't need to specify where you are going, starting ending etc - I get that for some trains I'd need to make a reservation for the train. 2. Its covers travel on the lakes at Luzern, Brienz and Thun? I don't need to pay extra for those? 3. It covers mountain railways where people live - like Rigi and Grindelwald - I don't need to pay extra for those? Thank you so much

3) Yes. But most places are not at the mountain top, thus you need to pay for a ticket to reach the summit.

The only mountains where the SDP is fully valid are: Mt. Rigi, Mt. Stanserhorn, Klewenalp, Stoos, and Rochers-de-Naye.

When using e-tickets, you have to carry your physical passport or official identity card; photos of it are not accepted for ticket checks.
