SBB Seat Reservation – Date of Birth Error

We reserved panorama seats for the Lucerne–Interlaken Express on the SBB website, but the dates of birth for both passengers are shown one day earlier than the actual dates.

Would this affect boarding, or is it still possible to use the tickets?
Do we need to make any changes?

Is the error on the tickets? Or on the reservation? Tickets and reservations are not the same thing. You need a ticket, but reservations are optional.

There are no pre-boarding checks, so nobody stops you from boarding even without a ticket, and probably nobody will want to see your reservations. These only come in play if someone were to already sit in your seats…

It won’t be an issue. In this post from 2024 it is claimed that a technical bug is the cause, potentially this bug has not yet been patched. If the actual birth date is after the date shown on the ticket, you for sure did not get a discount to which you are not entitled because the price calculation programme thinks you are (one day) older than you actually are.
