Verification text not working for Australia

I have tried to do the verification to buy a travel pass a couple times. I enter my Australian mobile number starting with +61 but no text ever arrives. I thought it was because of the time difference to start being non business hours but still not working during Swiss business hours. Can anyone help or is there an alternative to a mobile number?

Good day.

Why do you need a travel pass (what travel pass?) verification? It seems you are about to register as a resident; tourists do not need to verify their customer account. This explains why the process does not work for Australians.

If you are trying to get a Swiss Travel Pass or the Half Fare Card you can also use this site:
https://www.swissrailways.com/

This is an official, and geared towards tourists. Avoids all the problems caused by the decision a few years ago to give travel products aimed at Swiss residents names that appear to have been chosen for maximum confusion.

Or just buy them when you are here. None of those passes must be bought in advance.

I need a had price travel pass as a visitor. Seems the website takes you to verification site as default.
I have now found an alternative method to find the foreign visitor passes. Just getting known issue related to errors using a Visa card.

You do not need the Half Fare Card to book tickets. That you have the card is not checked during purchase. This will be checked later on board the train.you just indicate that you have (will have) the HFC.

Also it is not really necessary to book train tickets in advance… This is mass transit.
