International travel from Innsbruck to Bern

Hello,

I need to travel from Innsbruck to Bern but there is no option for swiss travel pass with booking on SBB app. I was told to book for the Austrian part of the journey and continue the rest on the swiss travel pass. Just concerned about seat reservation as can’t continue with same seats (just in case someone else books it).
Q1 Can i book the full journey as GA Travelcard as the discount card?
Q2 Is it better to get tickets for Austrian part of journey?

You can buy tickets and reservations on https://shop.oebbtickets.at/en or in ÖBB Tickets app and select this discount (choose 1st or 2nd class):

No seat reservation is necessary between Zürich and Bern.

Please note that trains may be rerouted due to engineering works or it may be necessary to take replacement buses from 14.06.2026, 08:30 until 14.10.2026, 23:59.
