Does the Companion Ticket work with the regular Swiss Travel Pass?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently traveling in Switzerland and planning to buy:

1 Swiss Travel Pass Youth (consecutive version, not Flex)

1 CHF 39 Companion Ticket for my mom

However, on the SBB page for the Companion Ticket, it specifically mentions:“Swiss Travel Pass (Flex)” as an eligible ticket, but does not explicitly mention the regular consecutive Swiss Travel Pass.

Has anyone actually used the CHF 39 Companion Ticket together with a normal consecutive Swiss Travel Pass successfully?

Just want to make sure before purchasing since Swiss ticket inspections are strict and I don’t want to risk invalid travel.

Yes it does and it is mentioned. The (Flex) means either / or.

But, the companion ticket does not work for routes not fully covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. Keep that in mind.
