Ideal ticket

Hello everyone,
I want advice, i am planning to travel to broc from geneva and then from broc via Montreux to geneva on same day (this weekend)
I checked day passes. they are expensive than the ticket. Now i was wondering if i can use any saver pass or travel pass to reduce the fare ? or point to point ticket is best option (economically). I know there is specific time option that usually cheaper but then i lose the flexibility..,,any other way to reduce the cost..

There is no ‘go-to’ way to make your ticket cheaper without any drawbacks, especially if you still want the flexibility. I think the default point-to-point tickets are actually the cheapest possibility.
If you are below 25 years old, there might be better options.
As a general advice, the half fare card and the Halbtax Plus are worthwile if you are traveling somewhat regularly.

You could buy a day pass “Mobilis” all zones for 57.60. That gives you unlimited travel in the Canton of Vaud.
You would then need to add a return ticket to the first station in Vaud that your train stops at. That would be Coppet if you take the RE.

Not exactly; within the Mobilis area. This is almost the same as the Canton of Vaud, but in some places it differs.
Also note that Broc is not within the canton of Vaud; only the yellow shaded area is part of the Mobilis area. Overall I assume that the point-to-point-tickets will probaly end up cheaper than three (!) tickets you would need to get; Genève - Coppet/Nyon (if you really want to save the max, take the Bus via Chavannes-les-Bois as there you can go with the ticket of unireso and it is at the same time within Mobilis, then the Mobilis ticket, and finally the ticket from Palézieux via Broc to Montbovon…
