In Short, the Situation is Like that: my daughter turns 16 on the 1st of July, so she needs a Half tax. In the same time there is a Promotion in lidl(half tax for 84 instead of 120), so I’ve bought this as well. Process of buying is straight forward: Go to sbb Site, order halb tax, on the checkout Stage use code from Lidl. But Problem emerges from the beginning: I’m logging in to SBB site, select halb tax validity start day as 01.07.2026, select I’m buying half tax for somebody else, entering her SwissPass details, and got e message: The Half Fare Travelcard is only available to passengers aged 16 or over. Passengers under 16 already travel for half price or at a reduced price.
No metter she will be 16 on the 1st of July, it stops me to buy a half price for her. The second problem is: code from Lidl is valid till 12 of June, so if I fail to sort that out, then I just lost 84 Fr. Please advise.
