Jungfraujoch tickets

Hello everyone,
We have swiss travel pass for 6 days, when we go to Jungfraujoch from Interlaken or Grindelwald, do we have to buy separate ticket to go on top to Jungfraujoch or Swiss Travel pass will work to the top and come back?

No, the Swiss Travel Pass is valid as far as Grindelwald or Mürren. Beyond, having the Swiss Travel Pass, you can purchase a discounted ticket at the counter in Grindelwald (or Interlaken).

Do not purchase Jungfraujoch tickets in advance, no Swiss would do that as the weather forecast is only known two days out.

As a rule of thumb, your STP fully covers only ‘public’ transportation to permanently populated places.
However purely ‘touristic’ cable cars or cogwheel railways to mountain summits are usually not fully included. But the STP grants you a 50% discount on those additional tickets in many cases, and specifically 25% for the Jungfraujoch trip.
