Swiss Travel Pass 4 days (autumn promotion)

Hi community! I’m travelling with my family (2 adults, 1 youth aged 20 and 1 child aged 14) in late Novemebr and would like to purchase this travel passes for ease. It mentioned that for children aged below 16 and accompanied with one adult can travel for free with the complimentary Swiss Family Card. However, it only applied 50% off when I purchase the ticket. Is the discount not applicable to promotion ticket?

And with this promotional Swiss Travel Pass, do we need to purchase another ticket to take the Interlaken to Lucerne Express or is included? I tried to reserve a seat on the website but it shows that the discounts or only entitled for GA travel card and half fare card.

The Swiss Family Card will automatically be added as an option if you enter a passenger below 16 yrs of age. The conditions are the same as for the regular Swiss Travel Pass.

You do not need to purchase another ticket for the Interlaken to Lucerne train. For this route you do not need a seat reservation either. Note, there are construction works on this line until 27 Nov 2022, the line is partially run by buses.

If you allow a personal advice: carefully check operating times for cable cars, lifts and attractions; many are on maintenance in November or closed for the winter season. November is the least best time to travel to Switzerland because of the before-mentioned reasons and because the weather is usually very unpleasant (low fog in towns, rain, short & cold days).
