When you take the bus form Stein am Rhein to Singen, your GA travel card is valid till Singen.
When you take the train via Schaffhausen to Singen, your GA travel card is only valid till the last stop in Switzerland. This is with the IC-train Schaffhausen and with the regionaltrain Thayngen.
