Recumbent bike from Zürich to Basel

I would like to bring my recumbent from Zürich to Basel by public transport. A direct connection would be preferable. But according to

recumbents are only allowed on RE, S and R trains. However, unlike many recumbents, mine only has two wheels and is around 1.80 m long, so it usually fits regular bike spots in trains. Therefore I wonder if it would still be possible to bring it on a IR, IC, or ICE train.

If it is not possible to bring my bike on a direct connection, I wonder how I buy tickets for a connection with RE, IRE, and S trains ahead of time. I have a connection in mind which is not possible to book online.

Thank you for your request.

If your recumbent bike is smaller than 2m, you can basically take it with you like a normal bike.
To be sure, I recommend you to go to an SBB counter and show the bike.
