I want to use the swiss travel pass to go from Zûrich to Lugano. On the site they state that the travel pass can be used for every route except the panoramic and express trains (e.g. Bernina), for which you have to pay extra.
The map in the pass brochure shows red lines (train lines uncluded) and red dotted lines (routes with an extra fee). The route from Zürich to Lugano is a red line, except for the traject between roughly Erstfeld and Biasca, which is a red dotted line. Now I am wondering if I will have to pay an extra fee to go from Zürich to Lugano? It is strange, because I would take a normal train from Zürich to Lugano (EC 327), and not a panoramic or express train.
Can someone please confirm that the EC 327 train is included in the Swiss Travel Pass and I don’t have to pay an extra fee?
